Hi everyone. I have a few problems with my computer. I have windows vista and when I go to this web page it say “SERVER ERROR IN / APPLICATION” “ERROR CODE 1535″. How do I fix this problem. Also I already download some programs on my computer. Example Java, etc and every time it tells me to download these programs again. I thought once you download the programs and restart the computer that it should work….How do I set my web page to HTTPS cause sometimes when I type my password etc it does not have HTTPS….

    The answer in the following:

    Answer by Pyros
    1. there is a good chance that the website you are visiting has an error of some sort and it’s probably something you can’t fix. what website are you going too? can you get there on a different computer?

    2. The downloaded programs typically need to be installed. What you are actually downloading is a setup file, you need to find the file you downloaded and run it.

    3. Https is something the web-server (website) you are visiting will use as a more secure connection. You can’t alter this, your browser should pick up on it and do what it needs to accordingly. Some sites you go to you can manually type their address into the address bar on your browser and use https:// but typically the site will use it automatically if it can.

Sure travel is down, but people are still flying. Amid a floundering economy and high unemployment, people are likely to think twice before traveling. They’ll be trusting technology to help them find deals, too, by looking online for the absolute best deals on flights, hotels, and want to make sure they make the most of their time at their destination. For those who do decide to travel, many will be going on tighter budgets.

Even as travel spending decreases, online travel spending continues to get a bigger piece of the pie, with Jupiter Research expecting online travel to claim 38 percent of all travel sales by 2011. While there are many well-known travel sites, such as Expedia and Orbitz, Personal Tech Experts at BluePhone, the online computer support company, offer summer travelers a few tips and tricks for an even better vacation:

Yapta – For getting the best deals on flights, Yapta is the traveler’s best friend. According to its website, the average flight price fluctuates 400 percent. That’s a lot of savings potential. Yapta helps monitor flight prices, frequent flier seat availability, and if the price goes down after purchase, it will help identify and claim reimbursement if eligible.

Trip Advisor – Impartial advice can be hard to come by, but the largest pool of it is at TripAdvisor.com. It boasts 20 million traveler reviews and opinions of cities and places to stay. In 2007 it purchased Seat Guru, which is a great way to make sure you get the best seat on the plane. It has seating charts for 535 airplanes from more than 75 different airlines, so fliers can always know where their seats are. Both sites are based around the idea that user information is the most pure and true source, and the great success of the sites support it.

Triporama – For group travel, Triporama makes it easy for everyone with a trip homepage, the ability to share travel research easily, discuss places to go and things to do, and even map an itinerary. Anyone who has traveled in a group before knows how difficult it can be to keep track of things. Triporama is a great collaboration tool to take some of the headache out.

Urban Spoon – Hungry and don’t know what to do? Urban Spoon is designed to help suggest restaurants by location, type of food, price and reviews, which helps afford quick decision-making without worrying about a thing. They also have a great mobile interface, in case of being caught out with dinner indecision.

Google Maps – Whether looking for directions, a place to eat, or a particular tourist attraction, Google Maps is a powerful application that can provide solutions quickly. It is also packaged in a mobile application with GPS capability, which is really hard to live without after trying it.

For people traveling, or for people who are thinking about traveling, these recommendations can help save money, time and hassle.
