computer not working–: Why isn’t my audio on the computer working?
I open Windows Media Player to play music and a message says: There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly. I open iTunes and I can hear my music perfectly fine. I try to watch online videos and I can see the video but can’t hear anything. What’s wrong with my audio?

Sounds like iTunes is hogging your sound card. Turn off iTunes when you are using other applications that use sound and see if that helps.

Hi,I did the following:,news book blog: new computer technology ,Not’s about blog technique.
Q&A–: Why isnt the volume on my computer working?
It hasnt been working for while.
Its not on mute. ive checked the plugs.
we lost the cds for the computer.
when i turn off my computer and turn it back on, this error message pops up. idk if that could be it? I have an Hp computer if that helps?

update the drivers for what ever sound program your computer uses. it is either some hp branded application or realtek.

Try checking the HP website and go to the support section and see if they have the drivers for your particular model.
If HP doesn’t have what you need then the other thing I can recommend is Driver Max nttp://www.drivermax.com/ and read specifically for the Sound or Audio involved drivers you don’t need the others unless you have other problems that are unresolved then by all means download them. Hopefully those will work.
