computer not working|why isnt the sound on my computer working?

Question–: why isnt the sound on my computer working?
everything is connected properly and i havent done anything to the sound but its not working at all? can someone help me please? thanks

Check whether your sound is muted or not and check whether the sound drivers installed or not

Ensure it is not muted.
Right click my computer>properties>device manager>…
find your audio device and right click it > click uninstall >click check for new hardware and you should be good to go.
If that doesnt work go to your computer manufacturer website and download the latest audio drivers for your system.

Are your speakers turned on? Check that first..
If you have windows go to your control panel and click on system,then click on hardware and then device manager, you should see a picture of a speaker with a little plus sign next to it. Click on that plus sign and will bring up all the hardware components for sound and make sure they don’t have little exclamation marks next to them, if they don’t then they should be working properly. You can also look down at task bar on the bottom right hand side of your screen and look for the little speaker icon and make sure it’s not muted or anything. Right click on that icon and then click on Open Volume Control and make sure that they’re not any of the Mute boxes checked with a check mark. If they are then that might be your problem, but if not then you go to system restore on your computer and that should fix any current problems that your computer may have.

computer not working–: My computer monitor isnt working, any help?
when i start my desktop computer, my computer starts normally until it gets to the loading windows page. after that page, the monitor says, “no signal or input”. my monitor works with other computers, just not that computer. i know my computers working because i hear the sound when i log in, but i still cant get anything on the screen! does anyone know what i can do?

Try this:
When you start your computer, press F8 few times until you have an option to go to SAFE MODE of Windows. Choose that option and see if your computer actually starts up. If it does, that means 2 things:
a) your monitor is kaput. Meaning, it can’t work in high resolution (basically, anything more than 800×600 px). That is hardware malfunction that needs to be fixed in service and
b) you might try reinstalling your monitor drivers. This can help you if some program changed your driver and installed incorrect one (less likely) or you by accident chose different monitor as an output (more likely).
I’d recommend trying to reinstall your monitor drivers 1st and if that doesn’t help, then take it to the service. You simply go to Control Panel, System, Device Manager and uninstall driver for monitor, restart Windows and let it do it’s magic, just sit and relax. Of course, you have to try to start it in Safe Mode first, as I said.

Well test the monitor first unplug the monitor from the computer and turned on. If the monitor stays on and you start seem a bunch of colors. That means that there is nothing wrong with the monitor. then try the monitor in a different computer (desktop or laptop) Now if the monitor is causing this matter you will experience the same issue in both computers. Now if the monitor is the issue you have 3 things that may be causing this matter. One it can be the video card, the motherboard or the power supply. what you have is what we the technicians call “Unexpected shutdown”. There is a very slim chances that you may have a corrupted file. But thats very slim
The video card: can be old or damage thats why the system dont give you video. and once you turned on the system goes to sleep mode.
solution: resit the cables on the system board video card. (if you are using the internal video card on the motherboard just clean it with compress air. if that dont work try a different monitor on your system.
The systemboard: the systemboard port problably dont recognize the video card anymore you may have over 5 years with your system.
The power supply: The power supply maybe damage or its old and there is not enough current running into the systemboard to power up you computer.
solution try to use another power supply ( the power supply is a bunch a cables all in different colors insode your system. open the system if you see a green light inside your systemboard that means it is getting enough energy. if its orange or yellow then you need to change power supply or systemboard.
