      @MrNFL
      same. but I fixed it a couple months ago :)
      Get a linux boot CD program called Avira AntiVir Rescue System
      Burn it onto a CD put it in the CD drive. Restart your computer and use it to clean out the problem
      Worked like a charm :)
      kinda took a week though till I could see the windows update agent again doe but w/e it’s good now.

      @bashscrazy I’m having the same problem, any attempt to find that particular file fails. Searching for it makes the internet fail, the link from MS does’t work. Booo.

      I recently have had this problem surface. Tried a couple system restores but nothing worked. I used the Process Explorer, right clicked on the svchost.exe that was using up my CPU, and I went to debug. Fixed it up just fine and I have had no trouble since then.

      My svchost.exe is running unusually high, causing system lag and massive page file usage. I was warned by avg that i had been attacked by an exploit black virus type 2022 which avg said it had blocked but ever since then the svchost.exe has ballooned. I managed to download malwarebytes (although took a loooooonnnggg time) and it found a few viruses but scans do not fix this and the problem only happens if i connect to the internet? Please help

      This is fake and it’s sad the crap they fake just to entertain people. I thought it might be fake when I saw the plumber crack, but then when I charged $350 dollars I knew it was fake. if someone was trying to get away with something illegal they would not risk such a stupid price! For $350 any customer would have said no thanks, that’s more than I paid for the computer, I’ll buy a new one.

      Stupid idea, the card could easliy partial insert itself into the connector and then FRY out.

      September 19th, 2011 at 8:36 am

      @MrRackmount my uncle wrote on his parts with ultra-violet pen and when he got it back the marks where all still there

    40. stewartx5 Says:
      September 19th, 2011 at 9:34 am

      I don’t buy it. Any improper electrical contact by a card pulled partially from socket could very easily cause permanent damage – to graphics card, shared memory, and/or motherboard. That contact could have been made when guy pulled card from socket or while computer was jostled in transit to repair shop. Two guys in video (especially so-called “expert”) should know that, so not disclosing it brings entire story into doubt.

      I agree with what mrRackmount says except I dont see the point of a “burn in” test in a situation like this, as They are only usefull really if you want to adjust the cpu temp for overclocking so that errors are not produced and still maintain a stable enviroment, all the other tips are good sensible safe guards

      I fix pc’s in my area and always take my laptop and a few small tools, but I always return the broken parts to the customer.
      I get all my work from mostly happy customers telling their mates, but then I dont charge £300 odd quid for repairs, the most I charged ever was £150 for a laptop repair to a major component, when charges reach over £100 ask for a second opinion.

    49. gohan2091 Says:
      September 19th, 2011 at 3:36 pm

      @MrRackmount

      Well the top tip there is to make sure the guy returns the broken parts (and make sure these parts are actually yours)

    50. gohan2091 Says:
      September 19th, 2011 at 3:40 pm

      @Tron1999

      I am not a PC repairman but I know what is required. To fix a PC, you need to first inspect it so all you need is your eyes, no tools are required. Often, the fault lies within the software rather than hardware so again, no tools required. It makes no sense to bring a toolbox without first inspecting the PC.

      If hardware is to blame, new hardware needs to be purchased, no toolbox needed for that job, not until you get the new part, then you may need a screwdriver, that’s about it!
