Computer troubleshooting?

Hi,I did the following:
Q&A: Computer troubleshooting?

Rainy:The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!
Last week I detected a very nasty virus. Kept turnin desktop red at startup and prompting me that Im infected with popups every five minutes or so and took me to antispyspider.us website even when I was offline (DONT GO THERE PLEASE!!! UNLESS YOU FEEL PROTECTED BY YOUR ANTISPYWARE!).
It took over my my Task Manager for sure so I dont know whats going on!
I downloaded two software programs for a price…didnt work so I uninstalled them and got Mcafee. They got rid of popups and red desktop at startup but now I cannot access my Task Manager still and from time to time Mcafee detects the same Trojans and supposedly removes them but detects them again at startup.
Please Help! ![]()

Your computer is infected with rogue antispyware and adware. Download and run rogue antispyware software from internet.

I would suggest trying Adware from Lavasoft (http://www.lavasoftusa.com) and running your anti virus again. If your problem still persits, I suggest you immediatly back up all your important files as soon as possible, as the virus progresses you may not have this chance again. After that write down all your pertinent information like serial keys and information you can’t burn off. I would then suggest you give your pc a fresh start. Format your hard drive and install a fresh copy of windows and your other issues. There are several how to sites that make it easy. I would use formating as a last result if the scans don’t work however I can’t stress enough backing up your files when the problem if affecting so much. Good Luck!
EDIT
There was another interesting post in a forum regarding this issue. Check the info out there as well

hi alex, those nasty ol viruses can really do a number on your computer so let’s see if we can correct your virus. first remove your virus protection when that is done you should be in control panel under your system icon go to advanced tab. under performance then hit best for my performance and check that box you will notice that all of the boxes are unchecked and save. then go to memory in the box you will notice kernal% anda dropdown beside it drop it down and place it on complete memory dump and save. now reboot and when it come to your windows logo start tapping f12 at the top of your keyboard. now format your harddrive but when it ask you do you want to build a petition don’t let your system build one for you. if anything that i have told you confused you take your computer to a repairman and let him do it for you. good luck hope i was helpful to you

You didn’t mention which virus was found so we are grasping at straws here. Does it occur when you start your Internet browser? If so, they may have altered your home page so check that first. The point about it capturing your task manager needs more explanation. See if you can get to it by doing a ctrl-alt-delete. If that does not work, do a start, run, and type cmd, on the shell window type taskmgr. If you want to research it some more, type eventvwr.msc in the same window.

You really need to have a professional security analyst to help you remove the spyware properly. PCHelpForum is a free help site and they have a number of qualified security experts.
When you sign up just say that DIIRE referred you. You will need to do the prework first – see link below.
http://www.pchelpforum.com/new-hijackthis-logs/11849-please-follow-these-instructions-before-posting-your-hijackthis-log-aka-prework.html
After you have done this post the logs in the New Hijack This section. The security team will then work with you one on one to remove the trojans/viruses. It may take a while for one of the security team to assist you as they are very busy but they will fix your problems and help you to prevent reinfection in the future.
