    Q&A–: Why does my computer freeze when starting up?
    Why does my computer freeze when starting up. If it doesn’t freeze up it’ll go to some blue error screen. If anyone can tell me how to fix it, it would be much obliged.

    go to run..type in msconfig and click on the startup tab..uncheck anything u don’t need(example:something like yahoo messenger)..if its really weird looking leave it checked..then try rebooting..

    Computer freezing is caused by errors in the Windows registry. When there are errors in the registry your computer is unable to properly communicate information. The computer does not know what to do and simply locks up or crashes. I recommend scanning your computer for errors at:

    Its a new computer, lots of RAM and HD space. Worked fine, suddenly I constantly freeze, sometimes for 30 secs others over 3 minutes. What the heck?

    1 your virus detection is going off with it and its glicthed or 2 your internet service is not compatible with it
