Everytime I start up my desktop normally it freezes before every thing fully loads. I run it in safe mode and it still freezes or when everything is finally runnng smoothly that’s when the blue screen hits! I tried to recover it but I have no idea what the administrator password is. I cannot do anything without my computer freezing or the blue screen of death hitting. Any advice? Please and thank you!
For any of you wondering I am talking to you from my itouch.

Wipe it and do a clean install other then that i would recommend removing the cmos for 30 seconds put it back in do a memory upgrade possibly. I mean it can be different things overall i think it is a hardrive problem due to the settings prolly due to a virus more then likely so do a fresh install of winxp sp3.

More then likely you have somehow installed a virus, probably without you even knowing. The blue screen usually occurs when your pc is having a hard time processing a bunch of things at once so it does a memory dump and shuts down. If you get the blue Screen almost immediately the only way to solve this will be to reformat it. “clean sweep” If you have a restore cd use that it will guide you through very easily, just pop the cd in while its on and boot the pc up while the cd is in and bam you got it. It will be fixed after you do this restore. You wont have to know the administrative password either.

Go to your tools and click on internet options. Click on advanced tab and click on restore advanced settings. That may solve the problem. If not then click on reset internet explorer settings.

I was having problems until I restored advanced settings and it disabeled unnecessary add ons and restored browser to original specs.

If it even freezes in Safe Mode then it’s likely either some very badly damaged Windows files – or a defective Hard Drive that is about to die.

If the PC is a major brand (like Dell, HP, eMachine, etc.) it probably came with a way to erase everything and totally restore the Hard Drive to the way it was the day you bought the PC. Go to the manufacturer’s website and find out how to do this. Usually it’s either a CD that you boot with, or just a simple key-combo you press at boot up.

If the Hard Drive is failing there’s nothing you can do buy buy a new drive and install Windows fresh – hopefully from disks that came with the computer. If you’ve got no disks you’ll have to buy or borrow a copy of Windows.
One way to check the hard drive is to run Checkdisk on it. If you are ever able to get into safe mode, go to Start, My Computer, right-click the C: drive and choose Properties. Click the Tools tab, and then click the “Check Now” button. It’ll try to fix any disk errors it finds, but even if it finds just a few it is definitely time to BACK UP YOUR data and buy a new hard drive.
    Good luck,
    Donk

Could be a problem with device drivers, hardware or software. This problem can be solved by uninstalling new software, updating device drivers and making minor configuration changes . From http://fixit.in/bluescreenofdeath.html . You can also run a free registry scan using utilities from http://re7.info
