Help!: How do I get rid of this Computer Virus off my desktop computer?

I have currently a Serious virus on my desktop computer. Its called Win32/Netsky.Q Worm I have tried to use the windows security system and Spyware doctor to remove the virus, however no matter what I do I cant open ANY windows or programs. That includes the internet. Plus what ever i download, that program gets infected as well. Is there any way i can get this virus off my computer?

There are 2 options to remove win32.netsky.q from your PC:
1. Auto removal using this tools.
2. Manually remove win32.netsky.q
To remove Win32.Netsky.Q worm manually, you need to delete Win32/Netsky.Q worm files

Go onto another PC, download it and stick it on a USB, now go into your infected PC and install the tool and run it.
If you can’t open it in normal mode, reboot into safe mode (tap f8 on boot) and do it from there.
Also this is a mass mailing worm, so use a safe (not infected PC) and email everyone whose email address you have and tell them not to open any attachments/emails from you, as the worm will seek to spread itself.

Try downloading Kaspersky Antivirus 2010, just save the installation file on a disk then install it on your infected computer. Also try windows defender. If that doesn’t work, you will have to do some other advanced techniques which are quite hard to describe, kaspersky should do it, when you install kaspersky, just get the trial from their website put it on a disk, then take it to the infected computer and install it, but when you install it, disconnect the infected computers internet connection at the time of installation, then plug it back in so kaspersky can update its files and do a good scan….If that still doesn’t work, the best solution is to back up your info and reformat the computer, and when your restore your info back, make sure you scan it if its on the disk or flask drive, b/c the virus might transfer over…

I have heard of this virus before, and it is very serious. To remove it, follow these steps:
1) Turn your computer on in safe mode. (hold f8 while it is turning on) This will prevent the virus from running, as most viruses cannot run in safe mode.
2) Go to kaspersky.com and download the trial version of Kaspersky Internet Security 2010.
3) Run a full scan, and take any action the program tells you to.
To prevent this from happening in the future, make sure that you trust every website you visit and everything you download. Don’t download any program unless it is absolutely necessary.
For really good protection, I would recommend buying Kaspersky after the trial version expires. If you don’t want to pay money, then you can download a free (but not as good) Antivirus software from AVG.com.

you have spyware,if you have comcast anti spy it will remove it,been there,that’s the only thing that will remove it that I know of.

Looks like the virus is deep in the system, so just remove ur important data from the system and format it, n install a fresh OS, after this install the antivirus n scan ur system, then put back ur data into the system.

go to another computer and download an anti virus program (nortons, superantispyware, AVG) then bring it back on a flash drive, CD, or floppy, and try that in safe mode… if all else fails reinstall windows or take it to a computer repair store to have it fixed… sometimes they can save files…
