Answer by Safe Mode
Trojans are replicators. They take advantage of system restore points to re produce, this is why your antivirus can’t get rid of it.Just turn off system restore temporarily to purge all restore points, scan and clean and after restart you can turn system restore back on.

If you formated th Drive and reinstalled your O/S then the virus must be coming from something else USB pen etc,

Try combofix from http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe followed up by MalwareBytes Anti-Malware from http://malwarebytes.org
Make sure your system is 100% up-to-date on it’s security patches from microsoft.
Stop downloading stuff with viruses. You can not expect ANY anti-virus to catch 100% of the viruses out there. Use common sense, ifyou download something from limewire, torrents etc. and it says you need a special player, it’s a virus. If it says you need to download a special codec, don’t be stupid, just delete the download.

It depends on the virus, can you post what the name of it is so we can try to assist.

I think it’s foolish to reformat a PC over a virus. You can not have two anti-virus program on the same PC.Disable one and uninstall it.You said you have a trojan but didn’t say what the symptoms were.If it’s slow or freezing up,then it’s because of the two anti-virus conflicting. Any way…..Go to CNET at http://www.downloads.com and get:
1 Avast Virus Removal Tool
2 McAfee Avert Stinger
3 Symantec W32.Downadup Removal Tool
4. CWShredder
these are small programs (4.5 mb for all 4).use them to scan your PC
Also if you have Windows, use the MMSRT.
go to start
then to run
type MRT in searchbar
click OK
choose longest scan and run the program
