    I had a trojan downloader virus on my computer. I have removed the virus but now I am left with the damage that it caused. Any suggestions on how to repair these files

    I couldn’t afford a new computer, and so,
    I just rebooted the entire system. First,
    I transferred as much as I could on to c.d.s
    It’s not the same before the virus, but it works.

    First try to repair/re-install windows (try to stay away from System Restore in this case because the trojan may have invaded your System Restore Archives and you will have to battle it again from the start). If it doesn’t help repairing/re-installing windows I suggest you backup all your documents to CD (or DVD), format your hard drive and install a fresh copy of Windows. If created separate partitions when you installed Windows you can transfer all your important data to the one partition and format the other and install a fresh copy on the partition you just formatted.
