Question: what will happen to a computer virus if it is quarantined?
Rainy:The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!
what will happen to a computer virus if it is quarantined? will it still affect other files? how about when deleted? will it also affect the computer’s operating system somehow? how about when repaired? will it totally repair the virus? is an exploit a kind of virus? is there an anti-exploit?
i know i have a lot of questions

Viruses that are quarantined are those that cannot be healed after the scan, but when they are quarantined in the virus vault, the CANNOT harm you in there. You can even choose to delete them.

An Anti-Virus program has different options when it finds a virus you have mentioned 2 in your question. “Quarantine” is where the antivirus can move it to, this is an area which is locked inside the software and cannot be taken out, this is a safe way and your pc is not affected by this virus anymore. Alternativly you can delete is in which your antivirus simply deletes it forever. Another function is repair in which it heals the file getting rid of the virus from the file and the file itself can be used again.
Put simply i can suggest that when comming across a virus simply delete it and you will be fine.

To my understanding, if a virus is quarentined, it’s blocked from your computer. It shouldn’t effect anything in your computer unless it already effecting files. Quarentining them prevents them from doing that. You can’t repair a virus. You can sometimes delete it but that won’t protect your computer from it forever. If it’s on your quarentined list, it will be blocked.
—quarantined:a strict isolation imposed to prevent the spread of disease.
Just remember to do virus scans, spy scans, and defrag your computer and you should be fine, and it should keep your computer in good running order.
