yeah thats basically it…it confused me since most of features are basically the same…i dont know why the price is cheaper for the first 1…and yes i know i will upgrade my PSU but just for now i mean. I plan to get PSU in the future so…other than that is it ok?

can’t see a big difference between the two except the case.
i would get none of them, because both have the same weak part – the PSU. with a quad core CPU and a 8800 GT 1GB, a PSU of 420W runs constantely on its edge.
for a configuration like this i would get a PSU of at least 500W.
edit:
i just assembled another system for you, about same price $ 860 but without speakers and keyboard.

i think this would be a great rig despite it has “only” a dual core processor and 512MB of graphics memory (most games today don’t even use the full 512MB). the other specs are all the same and the case looks great (it’s almost the same what i have). the PSU is +210W (+30W that the Intel CPU needs less), so there is a surplus of 240W what is enough to run 2 graphics cards in SLI mode.
think about before you get the AMD rig!
and yes, the PC you want to get isn’t bad either, nevertheless i think the Intel would be somewhat better.

i would look at Intel’s processors, they are cheap and powerful, and they run much cooler, and the motherboards that use Intel’s socket 775 are usually fully featured for the prices.

3d web technology–: Expert advise about Image Resolution, DPI?
I know the basic meaning of DPI, and PPI, but I want to make sure I understand everything about it.
First of all, I operate a website selling products. My concern is to upload highest quality photo for customers to see on their monitor. So I set resolution to 72 dpi since I am not concerned about printing.
My question is when original image is cropped in photoshop, only way to make it highest quality (for website) is by saving it at highest quality jpeg file? Changing 72dpi to 300dpi does not do any good since web does not read dpi setting at all right? Someone please confirm on this.
Also why 72 dpi is like default for web? For future, will this default go up if technology(both display, internet speed) advances? I heard apple started 72 dpi and also monitors read at this rate or something. But what if technology advances in future, do you guys think it is worth it to save and upload images in higher dpi?
All my images are 500px x 500px , 72 dpi and I am concerned how these images will look on Big Screen 50+ inch TVs (LCD, Plasma, LED) and future TVs (3D, etc). Will dpi matter at all? Because many people are starting to use their big tv to browse internet and shop. I am trying to find out what is most ideal way to setup the image size/resolution..

First of all always keep a high resolution copy of all your files. How a file looks on the web depends on how the file was prepared as well as what TECHNOLOGY is used. You have little control over how people view your images as most viewers will not have a calibrated computer screen. You can ask your friends to give you feedback on how the images you have on your site are seen on their computer. I would prepare several image sizes and resolution and upload them. Then view them on the devises you feel people will view your site the most and see which size and resolution looks best. png rather than jpegs are becoming the norm as they have a better color quality.

I think all monitors have 72 dpi, it’s because you are farther away from it, then a book. All monitors use 72 (normally TV’s also)
On the internet you find several topics, some refer 96 dpi, but I really sure that using 72dpi you wouldn’t have a problem.
with computers it’s always in pixels. According to me, I think that even if you would put your pics with a pixel resolution of 1000 x 1000 pixels and one file is 72 and another is 300 dpi then you still would have the same file size. And they would be the same height and width on internet websites.
My monitor is a 1440×900, some monitors are higher to even 2560 pixels.
I even had a panasonic camera and it used the settings on 72 dpi, It had 6 megapixel = 3000 x 2000 pixel. My other camera has 6 megapixel to, it uses 240 dpi, 3000 x 2000, same thing.
If you would print, depending on the program, you normally don’t have a problem either.
3000×2000 pixels file at 72dpi and print the 6 megapixel file at 20% of the normal size, the dpi will adjust automatically. I think some people did it with images they got from internet, we used indesign. But our teacher didn’t like it, but there wasn’t any problem printing.
If you would print 3000 pixels width, 300dpi, you can maximum print at 10 inch width…
= dots per inch
Answer by fiddlerboy
You the poster and ALL the answerers are a little bit mixed up. Nothing you view is in dpi, it’s all in ppi. Dpi, or “dots per inch” is a PRINTING term. It’s a common mistake though, used by people who should know better too. At the moment it doesn’t much matter what resolution you choose for web use, monitors don’t care. Unless images are exceptionally tiny, they’ll show up just fine. If uploaded at too low a resolution, you’ll see “jaggies”" or haloing along edges. If this happens, just adjust your sizing and re-post.
