This is not the right place for this. Answers.yahoo.com is for Questions, which have a Best Answer. You didnt even ask a question. You are trying to start a discussion. You should do that in groups.yahoo.com
But I will give you a tidbit based on my experience in computers for as long as computers have been around. At this point, if it isnt fun then dont bother. If someone tells you the “smart” thing to pursue, then by the time you get there it will likely not be the smart answer anymore.
But I dont want to discourage you. Pick whichever of the above you like. Pursue it as your major. But to hedge your bet pick a minor in ANYTHING else. Not as a backup. I mean get creative and merge the two things.
By the time you get a specialty in any of the above topics it will be on the downslide with many people looking for work in that field. It has happened many many times in computers already. But, everybody needs computers. Medicine, law, cars, sports, politics, even mining. Pick something else you like and tie one of the computer subjects into that. Database, networking, animation, games, AI, anything you want. Get them both on your resume and instead of mvoing to the back of the specialists line you can go to the front of the other line.
