Q&A–: what web technology can I use to allow visitors to up load photos and comments to my site?
I have a website and would like to allow visitors to upload photos from their computer onto the site what type of web technology will I need to do this also if I want users to add comments on the site how do I do this. It is kind of like face book where you can add photos and comments and then within seconds they appear on the site for all to see.

Try Joomla. Joomla is a content management system available free on all reputable web hosts. I have found Host Gator to have the best hosting for this purpose and the most knowledgeable staff. Joomla has many extensions for multimedia uses such as the ones you have mentioned, plus commenting systems. I personally like the Seyret extension. This same company. Allvideos.com, also makes other video extensions that are cool. Keep in mind that allowing people to upload video directly to your host may cause bandwidth problems. I suggest the Seyret extension which allows you and your members to selectively add video from youtube.com to your site.
