In recent months, exciting changes began happening on the World Wide Web. More services and features were becoming available, but most Internet users were unaware of this new potential until the “Net Generation” began embracing these new Web-based tools. Within months, the business community, educators and casual Internet users found these tools invaluable to communication, collaboration, and research.
What is becoming commonplace in the business world needs to be embraced by the educational community for both learning and personal use. The established worker in the business world needs to become comfortable to the online tools and experiences that the younger workers bring to the workforce.

demystify the current jargon connected with this latest web phenomenon.
Chapter 2 provides the background and uses of RSS feeds, the main building block of Web 2.0. Chapter 3 continues by exploring the use of metadata, tags, tag clouds, and folksonomy, which are the strength of this latest technology. Chapter 4 applies tags, tag clouds, and metadata to online bookmarks while chapter five applies them to online photo libraries.
Chapters 6, 7, and 8 cover the use of blogs, podcasts, vodcasts, and screencasts on the web. The same underlying technology applies to each of these online formats except one is based primarily on text, one on audio, and the others on video.
