web technology blog|have any companies used consumer behaviour theories for commercial gain?

    By admin | July 29, 2011

Welcome to my website,This blog is about new computer technology 2011 ,Not’s about what is a pod?.
The following not about web technology blog, but classicA burden of one’s choice is not felt.Success is a relative term. It brings so many relatives. “Your future depends on your dreams.” So go to sleep. Caution is the parent of safety..the world puts off its mask of vastness to its lover.it becomes small as one song, as one kiss of the eternal.。!!

Q&A–: have any companies used consumer behaviour theories for commercial gain?
Have any companies used consumer behaviour theories (for example theories relating to ‘self image’ and ‘motivation’) for commercial gain?

I’m particularly interested in relating it to online, eg companies utilising the technology and/or habits web 2.0 (so blogging, rss feeds etc) has created.

Eg it could be argued that people keep blogs to satisfy a need for self expression or as a means of enhancing others perception of them (eg by big-noting themselves in their blog).

Have any companies used this knowledge for commercial gain at all?

** EDIT – I’m after a specific example, I’m aware that it happens but I’m looking for someone to essentially say ‘Company X used the consumer behaviour theories relating to self by capitalising on the opportunity presented by blogs by…..”

I’m aware that blog sites essentially did this which in turn gave them advertising based revenue models. But I was hoping there may be an example of a company capitalising on users ‘need’ to express themselves on blogs etc, as opposed to the blog host the

Yes. I am actually taking a class on it. What else are they supposed to use it for? It is a very integral part of advertising and marketing. Why don’t you try researching it yourself instead of asking people to do your work for you?

web technology blog–: Who has signed up for those “google pays me $ $ $ ” for posting links ad?
These are total scams. The ads often illicit sentimental values by posting pictures of family ie. a mother with her child. and appears to be fail-safe & cheap. A popular one these days is a woman named “Mary” and her husband “Kevin” on a “Money Blog”. They are selling a info package for $ 1 or $ 2. But what they don’t tell you upfront is you’re actually signing up for other services that charges your credit card within 10 days or so. This is only finely printed at the very bottom of the page. I’ve seen too people fall pray to these scams. Heres an informative article from an Australian newspaper about these scams: nttp://www.smh.com.au/news/technology/web/facebook-took-ads-for-getrichquick-scam/2009/02/26/1235237798521.html

yeah you are right. Expect Google Adsense I don’t prefer any other service. Google Adsense is legal and its worth putting your hard work on it.

    Answer by Boboo
True John, these are all scams. The only way to earn money via Google is through their Adsense system, which is totally free, and also the info about Adsense can easily be found on the internet for free!
