what is the source of income for isohunt web technologies?
By admin | July 28, 2010
Hi,I did the following:
Question: what is the source of income for isohunt web technologies?

Rainy:The pictures have nothing to do with the content!!
they have a few ads and they get some 60$/day as donation..for such less money why are they risking their asses in jail and how do they pay for their lawyer in copyright infringement case?
The following is the answer:
Answer by magpieix A.L.M.N.
I would imagine that their lawyers may be working either on contigency (i.e. if isohunt wins, they get paid) or pro bono (isohunt’s case has far-reaching ramifications on Canadian copyright law).
In Canada, the losing party normally pays for the legal costs of the winning party–since isohunt is in pretty solid ground with many of their claims, it’s likely that the plaintiffs will be paying much of the legal costs.
According to Canadian law, filesharing is legal, so isohunt is doing nothing wrong by assembling a database of available torrents. They aren’t violating any copyrights themselves, and–by Canadian law–aren’t facilitating other people breaking the law.

O-Web Technologies Launches Spanish Site for The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting
The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting launched www.mediosuno.com through their web development partner, O-Web Technologies. MediosUno is a program that targets the growing college-age Hispanic population. The educational program offers Spanish speaking students a hands-on curriculum that helps them break into radio and television careers. MediosUno is a Hispanic-culture based program, otherwise highly similar to the English broadcasting program offered at The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting which currently has four locations. This marks the first site O-Web Technologies has developed in another language.

Our industry desperately needs well trained Spanish Speaking broadcasters. It is difficult for broadcasting companies to find the right people, to the point that sometimes it is necessary to bring them from different countries in Latin America.

“We’ve developed websites using many languages; JAVA, asp.NET, php, but never Spanish.” jokes Alex Yakubovich, senior project manager at O-Web Technologies “It posed new challenges for us, but we are very pleased with how it turned out and are looking forward to continuing our relationship with The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting.”
Since 1980 the Hispanic population has almost doubled from 6.4 percent to over 12 percent and is now the largest minority group in the United States. Many media outlets, especially advertisers, are shifting their focus to reflect the quickly growing Spanish speaking demographic. MediosUno.com offers information online about the hands-on learning programs in Spanish, catering to students Hispanic and Spanish speaking students who want to go into careers in media production and broadcasting. The site allows interested candidates to apply online and to contact the school for more information. It will be administered internally by the school via a content management system.
Rodolpho Cardenas, Senior Anchor/Producer for Univision Colorado states, “Our industry desperately needs well trained Spanish Speaking broadcasters. It is difficult for broadcasting companies to find the right people, to the point that sometimes it is necessary to bring them from different countries in Latin America.” Mr. Cardenas continued, “To have a broadcasting program entirely in Spanish it’s like a dream come true for thousands of Spanish speaking students and young adults.
Such a program will offer many Hispanic students the opportunity to get a career, to develop their creativity, to be confidents and to succeed in our very competitive society. It opens the doors to a world of opportunities.”
The Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting hopes to attract more Hispanic students and offers financial aid to qualifying candidates. To find out more visit www.MediosUno.com or www.BeOnAir.com.
